Groups, new builds and repositioning

For the bigger questions.

Some work doesn’t fit neatly into a package. For that, we listen first, then write up a plan around what you actually need before any time is billed.

Brand architecture

You have three properties and you’re about to buy a fourth. Does it keep its own name? This answers that, and writes down the rule for the next one.

Naming and positioning

What the place stands for, in a sentence a board member and a front desk agent can both repeat. A new name comes with the clearance work.

Repositioning

When a property isn’t doing as well as it should, the reason might be the operation, the rate or the brand, and sometimes a little of each. We help you find out which before you spend anything on a rebrand.

Investor packaging

The brand story as it needs to read in a deck or a lender conversation, so the narrative and the numbers tell the same story.

Design direction

Commissioning illustrators, photographers and fabricators, and bringing out their very best work.

A second opinion

A thoughtful read on the work in front of you: what’s working, and what we’d change. Usually short, and often the most helpful part of a project.

The first conversation is free, and we’ll always be honest with you, even when the right help is someone else.

Good questions

The fine print, in plain words.

Do we own everything?

Yes. Once a project is paid, the brand files, the website and everything we made for it are yours, including the right to use them anywhere. If you ever leave, we help you pack.

Can we start with just one step?

Of course. Most hotels start with whatever would help most right now, whether that’s a brand that needs some love, a website that hides its booking button or a quiet feed, and add the rest when they’re ready.

We already have a logo. Do we have to start over?

Not necessarily. On our first call we’ll look at what you have together and tell you honestly whether it needs a refresh, a rebuild or just a little more care around it.

How does Simon Jones fit in?

We write the brief, direct the drawing and build the system around it, and Simon draws. You deal with one studio and one invoice. It’s quoted per project, because every commission is different.

Who runs our social accounts?

You do, or our partner Social Disrupt does. We make the creative either way. If Social Disrupt manages your accounts, they quote their part directly.

Will it work with our booking engine?

We connect the one you already use and make sure guests can reach it from every page, on every phone.

How does payment work?

Brand and website projects are half to start and half at delivery. The season is billed monthly, month to month, with 30 days’ notice.

Do you only work in the desert?

We’re based in Palm Desert and work with hotels anywhere. Video calls cover most of it, with a visit when the project calls for one.

Why put prices on the website at all?

Because it’s kinder to know up front. A starting price saves us both a call, and the final number is always in writing before anything begins.

A second look, on us

Ready to make a little noise?

Send us your website and Instagram, and we’ll send back a free five-minute video with the little changes we’d love to make. It’s yours to keep, whatever you decide.
